Team Quick-Start Guide

  1. Get Permission.  You know someone who faces a health care challenge who could benefit from a Support Team.  Get permission to organize their support through one trusted person to make it easier for them to get what they need.
  2. CribbenEmbrace2Make a List.  Ask the Friend to compile a list of these friends, neighbors, church and family members, people who’ve said something to the effect of, “If there’s ever anything I can do, please give me a call.”  Invite them to a 59-minute meeting to learn about a Support Team for their friend.
  3. Invite the potential team members to a Team Orientation.  Share with them the “10 Best Practices;” and choose a team leader or co-leaders.  (For more information on orienting your team, click here.)
  4. Meet with your Friend and agree on what needs will be addressed. Contact the team members to coordinate the calendar and begin the caring. Share the calendar with the Friend.
